EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP) in SMEAG, Cebu


  • Assessment Entry Level preparation course before entering a prestigious University abroad

Entry Requirements and Dates

  • School admission is available in February, but some majors are also available in July
  • With the completion of high school together with a 5.5~6.0 IELTS score, applicants can enter the course. If there is no English Assessment Test, they may take the TAFE English preparation course or EAP course in partnership with an English School

Program Content and Purpose

  • Students have the opportunity to be admitted to TAFE in Australia through SMEAG Philippines Training Center
  • They can successfully be entitled to an acceptance to any degree courses (Certificate, Diploma) even without an IELTS score

At SMEAG Philippines Training Center, students who have successfully completed the training will have the opportunity to enter to a pathway college without having to take a separate entrance exam

BenefitsSuccessful completion of the course will permit admission to an associated college
Special Regulations10 unexcused absences will result in expulsion from the program

Students who do not complete the program or are expelled are responsible for taking the admissions test

ACT GAC 1. UP TO 31 College Credits Recognized

  • Selected Pathway Universities in the United States offer GAC graduates up to one year of credit
  • Courses in the GAC program have been certified by The United States American Council on Education (ACE) and up to 31 units can be earned as college credits at a Pathway University
  • This allows students to complete their university studies faster, saving them a significant amount in tuition fees and living expenses
  • Scholarships and bursaries are also offered by a number of GAC Pathway Universities. Students interested in attending a Pathway University in UK or Australia can be accepted as completing Foundation 1 (1st year of college)

ACT GAC 2. OVER 90 Pathway Universities

  • The GAC program is operating in approximately 120 centers in 13 countries
  • If students successfully complete the program, they are granted guaranteed entry into one of 90 GAC pathway universities in more than 10 countries, which include but not limited to; US, Canada, Australia, UK, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan
  • Some of the universities included are World University ranking #49, The University of New South Wales (Australia), World University ranking #59, University of Glasgow (UK), in addition to U.S. University ranking #21, University of Iowa, among others

  • The Global Assessment Certificate™ (GAC) program is an internationally recognized university preparation program for students who do not have English as their first language
  • GAC provides vital independent learning and academic skills that are needed at a university
  • GAC program includes lectures, seminars, tutorials, group work, class discussion, and presentations
  • The assessments are designed to prepare the students for the challenges of university study, and include the same kind of assessments they would find at a university in the first year
  • Currently, there are about 5,000 students in the program preparing to study abroad
